C846 is an 11km long spur route in north eastern Tasmania, providing access from the Gladstone - Ansons Bay route (C843) to Eddystone Point at the northern end of the beautiful Bay of Fires. It is a popular tourist route for visitors to the beautiful beaches along the Bay of Fires, the lighthouse at Eddystone Point and the southern part of Mt William National Park. The route is entirely unsealed and is quite sandy.
Currently there are no signs in place which refer to route C846, making the route a no-hit wonder. The fingerboard sign originally provided at the C843 junction has inexplicably been removed and replaced by a timber sign with no reference to C846.
